One of our most frequently asked questions is, "Do they ride up?"
If you take a look through our reviews, you'll see the answer that comes up time and time again:
"Finally, shorts that don't budge."
But... the honest answer is:
There isn't a magic pair of shorts that solves ride-up for every runner. We're all built differently, so the key the perfect pair of shorts for you.
FIX RIDE UP?
One of the biggest factors in preventing shorts from riding up is fit. There are two key things we focus on:
1. The bottom hem should feel comfortably snug. A secure (but not restrictive) hem helps keep your shorts in place while you run.
2. Where the hem sits on your leg. Ideally, the hem should sit just below the widest part of your thigh. A snug hem in this position helps prevent the shorts naturally working their way up over the widest part of your leg as you move.
OUR TOP TIP
Different lengths suit different runners. Some people are lucky enough to never experience ride-up, while others may find changing the length or size of their shorts makes all the difference.
Usually a longer length helps stop ride up as they sit lower on your leg.
A smaller size has a smaller bottom hem, this can help the shorts fit comforably snug and stop any movement.
